Our players' support helps...

The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust (DKHT) works with disadvantaged young people to ensure that they receive the support and help needed to enable them to reach their full potential.

Sporting role models and the environment of sport raises the aspirations of young people. Through a range of personal development programmes run across the country, every one of the charity's disadvantaged young people receives mentoring and support from a world class athlete.

There are over one million 16-25 year olds who are not in education, employment or training, which is nearly 1 in 5 of all young people. Since DKHT was founded in 2008, they have reached over 170,000 young people across the country, with 70% on their Get on Track programme being in employment, education or training by the end of the programme.

Athletes, known as the GiveBack Team, have experienced the highs and lows of world-class competition and know what it's like to overcome adversity and still have the will to succeed. These athletes make the most of their skills and experience to help and improve young people's lives.

In the near future, DKHT will expand their services to help disadvantaged young people in Scotland and Wales as well.
